This merit-cum-means scholarship aims to support deserving students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, with a special emphasis on encouraging girl students to become future technology leaders.
About the Bharti Airtel Scholarship Program
Launched to commemorate the foundation's 25th anniversary, the Bharti Airtel Scholarship is designed for students enrolled in technology-based engineering undergraduate courses and 5-year integrated programs. These programs should be pursued at the top 50 NIRF Engineering institutes, including prestigious institutions like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Scholarship Benefits
The Bharti Airtel Scholarship offers comprehensive financial support to selected scholars, covering:
100% of annual fees over the duration of the course, as per the fee structure of the respective institute.
Hostel and mess fees for scholars who apply for it. For those staying in PG accommodations or outside hostels, support is extended equivalent to the institute's hostel/mess charges.
A laptop provision in the first year to aid in academic pursuits.
These benefits are designed to eliminate financial barriers and ensure that meritorious students can focus entirely on their education without financial constraints.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Bharti Airtel Scholarship, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Academic Enrollment: Confirmed admission or enrollment in the first year of specified courses in fields such as Electronics & Communication, Telecom, Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Data Sciences, and Emerging Technologies (AI, IoT, AR/VR, Machine Learning, Robotics) at the top 50 NIRF (Engineering) colleges.
Nationality: Must be a citizen and resident of India.
Financial Background: Family's annual income from all sources should not exceed INR 8.5 Lakh.
Other Scholarships: Applicants should not be recipients of any other scholarships or grants for the same purposes supported by the Bharti Airtel Foundation.
Notably, girl students are encouraged to apply, aligning with the Foundation's commitment to promoting gender diversity in technology fields.
