Partnership with University of Cambridge

The University of Cambridge and Bharti Airtel Foundation signed an MoU in September 2016 to conduct a corn/baby corn crop improvement research program in India, funded through a grant from the Foundation to the University of Cambridge.
The grant supports a three-year research program carried out between Cambridge’s Department of Plant Sciences, Cambridge Centre for Crop Science (3CS), Punjab Agricultural University, and Del Monte Foods Pvt. Ltd.
Manmohan Singh Bursary Fund is a donation received by the university from Bharti Airtel Ltd. and also from Eranda Foundation, as an integral part of the university’s strategy to encourage young scholars from India to build their potential as world leaders in an enriched academic environment. The fund is named in the honour of India’s Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, a doctorate holder from the University of Cambridge.
The bursaries are awarded to school graduates with excellent academic records who are otherwise unable to fund their studies at Cambridge, for fully-funded support including tuition fee and living expenses, for undergraduate study in any subject (except Medicine and Veterinary Medicine).
